It’s All Bueno follows the journey of the Kinney family that wants to get away from the community they grew up in, only to find out that its their community that will keep them safe.
Now, daughters Laura and Elsa have left home, and Baron and Esther have lost their house, Low and Candy can’t find each other and Dreamer just sees the good. On their crazy adventure guided by a food vendor with magical elote, they will meet sparring car wash dance crews, a gangsta clown piñata selling posse, and even picnicking cholas. All in search for what they have lacked- Community.
Created by the Califas’ Pacoima community under the guidance of Cornerstone Theater company, It’s All Bueno resonates with any community that tries to build gates to protect itself from itself. It reminds us that every community has its struggles, but that there’s also always good to be found.
El Teatro VolARTE is an award winning youth theater company. The cast of It’s all Bueno, ranges from age 7 – 16, and many have been working together for more than 5 years.
