Su Teatro Board of Directors’ President Victor Vialpando-Nuñez emphasizes that “The purchase of the building is an important step in creating an expanded cultural campus with the potential for local, regional and national implications.”
Associate Director Tanya Mote, “All of the funders have been great partners through the past year and a half of this project’s evolution. They have advised us, and stayed with us as we built the foundation for this project. They have been patient in nurturing us through the twist and turns and offering an understanding of our vision for the next step. The Morris family has also been supportive of the project, as the building was not for sale when we first approached them. They also offered an in-kind donation that reduced the price of the building by $300,000. We started with very little more than an idea.”
